These terms apply to the TrezorPay website, its documentation and the TrezorPay API (together, the “service”). By sending a request to the API or using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What TrezorPay does
TrezorPay is a non-custodial payment forwarding API. You ask it for a payment address and give it your own wallet address and a callback URL. When a customer pays that address, TrezorPay waits for the required confirmations, forwards the payment to your wallet minus the fee and the network cost, and notifies your callback URL.
TrezorPay does not open accounts, hold balances for you or offer custody, exchange, banking or brokerage services. Funds stay on a payment address only for the time it takes to confirm and forward them.
2. Your settings are your responsibility
You choose the coin, the network, the destination wallet or wallets and the callback URL. Check them before you use an address: TrezorPay forwards to exactly the wallet you gave and cannot redirect or recall a forward once it is broadcast. A payment address keeps the settings it was created with.
3. Fees and network costs
Each forwarded payment is charged a percentage fee, set by the volume forwarded to the same destination wallet over the previous 30 days, as shown on the pricing section. The blockchain network cost of moving the funds is deducted from the payment as well. Fees are taken from the payment itself; there is no invoice, subscription or withdrawal fee. Fee rates may change, and a change applies to payments received after it is published.
4. Minimum amounts
Every coin has a minimum payment, listed in the supported coins page. A payment below that minimum is recorded but never forwarded, and it is not refunded. Make sure the amounts you ask your customers to pay are above the minimum.
5. Wrong coin or wrong network
A payment address only accepts the coin and network it was created for. Coins, tokens or networks that TrezorPay does not support, or that differ from the address’s own, are not detected or forwarded and may be lost permanently. TrezorPay is not liable for funds sent that way.
6. Transactions are final
Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. TrezorPay cannot cancel, charge back or refund a payment or a forward. Refunds to your customers are yours to make, from your own wallet.
7. Confirmations and callbacks
A payment counts as received only once it has the number of confirmations required for its coin on the canonical chain. Callbacks are signed; verify the signature before you act on one, and treat a callback as the only proof of payment. If your endpoint does not answer as the documentation describes, TrezorPay retries the callback on the schedule given in the callback documentation, then stops.
8. Delays, holds and refusals
TrezorPay may delay, hold or refuse to create an address, forward a payment or deliver a callback when it has to for legal or regulatory reasons, to comply with sanctions, to prevent fraud or abuse, or because of a technical problem such as an unavailable network or price source. A payment that cannot be valued or confirmed is retried later rather than forwarded.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use the service for anything illegal where you or your customers are, including fraud, scams, money laundering, terrorist financing, the sale of illegal goods or services, or Ponzi and pyramid schemes. You may not use it if you are, or act for, a person or country under sanctions. You may not attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the service. TrezorPay may block addresses, callback URLs or traffic linked to such use.
10. Your obligations
You are responsible for your business, your customers and the goods or services you sell, including any licence, tax, accounting, consumer protection or anti-money-laundering duty that applies to you. You keep the private keys of your destination wallets safe; TrezorPay never has access to them.
11. Availability and changes to the service
TrezorPay is provided as it is and as available. It may be interrupted for maintenance, network incidents or events outside its control. Supported coins, networks, minimums and features may be added, changed or retired; a retired coin stops accepting new payments.
12. No warranty and limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TrezorPay gives no warranty that the service is fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or free of errors, and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or loss caused by blockchain networks, third-party providers, your settings or your callback endpoint. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover TrezorPay against claims, losses and costs arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms or of the law, or a dispute between you and your customers.
14. Intellectual property
The website, documentation, brand and code of TrezorPay belong to TrezorPay. You may use the documentation and code samples to integrate the API.
15. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and using the service after a change means you accept it. If a provision is found invalid, the rest still applies, and not enforcing a provision does not waive it.
16. Privacy and contact
How data is handled is described in the privacy policy. Questions about these terms go through the support channel listed on this website.
